Aloha Joe provided one of the highlights of the afternoon at the Hawaii Music Awards kick off celebration when he took to the stage with Allison for an impromptu duet. Aloha Joe and Allison brought the house down with their duet to "Almost Like Being in Love". Cries of Hana Hou were heard throughout the audience.  Hawaii Music Awards kick off party ! 3-Apr-2005
The Hawaii Music Awards began with a bang tonight at the Miramar Hotel in Waikiki. Aloha Joe hosted a great party with wonderful pupus , and entertainment by some of Hawaii's best artists. Kathy Boast was on hand as the official photographer and captured some great shots. Mahalo to Joe for making this possible.

Saturday, 1/29/05 the voting process was kicked off in "grand style" at Kapiolani Park. Many of Hawaii's finest talents participated in the launching of the Internet voting process. The Internet polls opened during Aloha Joe's "LIVE" Saturday show (7-9 am PT) and many votes were cast.
To VOTE for your favorite albums, just visit the Hawaii Music Awards website. www.hawaiimusicawards.com Once on their site, click the VOTE button and you're there. This year there are 28 categories, some with many entries. If you don't know anybody in a certain category, just leave the "ABSTAIN" button
