"My laptop was completely ruined when my office flooded. Even the hard disk was wrecked; but I didn't lose a single document."

My Way or Comme d'habitude ? Frank Sinatra's "My Way" ? I bet most people will be surprised to hear that it is a cover of "Comme d'habitude", a French song written in 1968 by Claude François (in collaboration with Jacques Revaux and Gilles Thibault). Claude François was the big French heartthrob at the time, was very fond of sparkly outfits and died in 1978 age 39 when he tried to fix a faulty light-bulb while in his bath (in case you're wondering, it wasn't a suicide). He wrote "Comme d'habitude" as he was splitting up with France Gall (a famous French singer) and the song conveys his melancholy and disillusion with life and love.
Twenty-eight years after his death, Claude Francois is still drawing fans to his former home "Le Moulin" at Dannemois in France, which has been turned into a museum. | Page: Page:
