 Gerard Butler Biography
Gerard James Butler was born on November 13, 1969 in Glasgow, Scotland. He is the youngest of three children (he has a brother and sister) and spent time the first few years of his life in Canada before returning to Scotland.
He has a law degree from Glasgow University, where he was also president of the school's law society, but left the field of law for acting.
He has appeared in the TV mini-series Attila and miniseries, The Jury as well as the motion pictures, Mrs. Brown, The Cherry Orchard (Varya), Dracula 2000, One More Kiss, Reign of Fire, Tomb Raider 2: The Cradle of Life, Timeline, The Game of Their Lives, Dear Frankie, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera (playing the Phantom) and Beowulf & Grendel. He will be seen next in Frank Miller's 300 and Butterfly on a Wheel.
