Synopsis: Over imaginative and exuberant, Edith (Natasha Little) finds a romantic escape from her oppressive marriage to Percy (Nick Moran), when she begins a passionate affair with the younger Freddie (Ioan Gruffudd). When her jealous lover murders her husband, Edith too is implicated in the crime and sentenced to death for a crime she did not commit.

Ioan Gruffudd (pronounced Yo-Awn Griffith) was born on October 6, 1973 in Cardiff, Wales to teachers, Peter and Gillian Gruffudd. Ioan is the eldest of three siblings: brother Alun and sister Siwan. Welsh is Ioan's mother tongue, but like all people of Wales, they must master English as well. Additionally, Ioan learned Yiddish for his role as Solomon in the Oscar nominated film Solomon and Gaenor.
