 Midsomer Murders 15-Sep-2000
John Nettles was brought up in St Austell, Cornwall, UK. He studied at Southampton University where he became involved in local Drama productions. From there he went on to appear in many Theatre's around the UK and later became a member of the RSC. He appeared in several TV series during the Seventies, including 'The Liver Birds' and 'Family at War'. His big break came in 1980 with the very popular detective series 'Bergerac' which was set on the island of Jersey. He played the role for 10 years and became a household name in the process. John Nettles is currently filing the latest series of MIDSOMER MURDERS, which will hopefully be screened later on this year.
He is also appearing in Panto at Newcastle's Theatre Royal from Dec 2000 until Feb 2001.
