The Backstory 11-Apr-2005 Usher Terry Raymond IV was born October 14, 1978 to Usher Raymond III and Jonetta Patton in Dallas, Texas. Usher's mother left his abusive father when he was just one year old and they relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
